Winner: Wide Receiver Richie James

Before Week 9, rookie wide receiver Richie James had just one catch for seven yards from his starting role back in Week 5 against the Arizona Cardinals.

Not exactly much from a player who turned plenty of heads during training camp and the preseason.

That changed against the Raiders, though, as James got the start over second-year slot receiver Trent Taylor. And James took full advantage of his opportunity.

While he did have a dropped pass during the game, James finished with 60 yards on two receptions, including a 53-yard catch-and-run grab, which was the longest for any wide receiver on either side Thursday.

James might wind up getting more chances over the rest of the season, especially as head coach Kyle Shanahan looks to see what he has at the deeper portions of his offensive roster.
