No. 2: Defensive End Solomon Thomas

I was all on the Solomon Thomas hype train over the offseason, due to the fact that he was looking as dominant as ever at the end of his rookie year.

However, he has yet to break out. He actually only has six tackles through five games, which is not great at all. The No. 3 overall pick of the 2017 NFL Draft needs to step it up if he wants to last in this league.

Like Colbert, Thomas is a great guy off the field and has shown flashes of great play, but it’s been scarce.

I really hope Thomas succeeds, but his arrow keeps on pointing down. He needs to get that arrow back up by the end of the season, or the 49ers might be forced to admit they made a huge mistake by taking him so early in the draft last year.
