Walter Football — EDGE Nick Bosa, Ohio State

Ohio State EDGE is one name already thrown around a bit among possible 49ers targets in the 2019 NFL Draft. Niner Noise considered him one of the options San Francisco could consider with the team’s first pick too.

And Walter Football is on board, tabbing Bosa to the Niners at No. 3 overall:

"The 49ers may want to look into adding another pass-rusher to go with Solomon Thomas, given all of the quarterbacking talent in the NFC West. Their defense is atrocious, and it all starts up front, where they can’t get much pressure on the quarterback outside of DeForest Buckner. Nick Bosa has a tremendous skill set, and he was off to a great start in 2018 before injuring his knee. He should still be a top-five pick."

The younger brother of the Los Angeles Chargers’ EDGE, Joey Bosa, Nick Bosa could easily wind up being a more refined product. He had 8.5 sacks in 2017 and managed four more this season before an abdominal injury set him back early in the season. He could return for the tail end of the 2018 collegiate season, however, and there’s little indication he’ll miss any time after the NFL Draft.

A pick like this immediately solves San Francisco’s edge-rushing problem.
