Seth Trachtman, Yardbreaker — DL Ed Oliver, Houston

Ah, yes. Another mock pegging Ed Oliver to the 49ers.

This time, Yardbreaker’s Seth Trachtman pegs Oliver to go No. 1 overall to San Francisco.

Here’s Trachtman’s explanation:

"Oliver is the most talented player in a draft that’s absolutely loaded with defensive linemen. He has 40 tackles and 6.5 tackles for loss in five games this season. The 49ers are now in a lost year after losing Jimmy Garoppolo to injury, but they need help on both sides of the ball."

Picking Oliver is a basic trend, based off the notion he’s simply the best overall player in this year’s draft class. And with the Niners lacking true impact players on the defensive side of the ball, seeing yet another mock tabbing Oliver to San Francisco makes some sense.
