Maybe the Denver Broncos should have stuck with their running game more in the fourth quarter on Monday Night Football. After all, they were up 10 points in the fourth quarter and were having great success with the ground attack against the Kansas City Chiefs and their awful defense.

Despite this, the Broncos still almost managed to stage a tremendous come-from-behind win in the waning seconds of the fourth quarter after Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes came alive in the final frame.

Speaking of Mahomes, Denver did a good job of curtailing him over the first three quarters.

Just not the fourth quarter when it counted the most.

That Broncos dual-threat rushing attack of Phillip Lindsay and Royce Freeman was solid, however, which helped quarterback Case Keenum overcome his one-interception, zero-touchdown night.

Denver doesn’t fall in our power rankings, as they managed to give K.C. a run for its money. That’s a pretty good moral victory considering how how the Chiefs are right now.
