Get this — the Seahawks pulled off a road win over the Cardinals and went 0-of-10 on third downs in the process.

Yes, 0-of-10. That’s the stat.

Seattle’s victory over Arizona was about as ugly a game there was, aside from running back Mike Davis having a surprising 100-yard, two-touchdown performance. The Seahawks nearly gave the game away, thanks to three fumbles (all recovered), and one could say head coach Pete Carroll’s offense is nowhere close to clicking.

So, let kicker Sebastian Janikowski just win the game in the waning seconds, right?

OK, so none of that was the big storyline. Instead, it was safety Earl Thomas’ broken left leg and the now-famous gesture he made towards the Seattle sideline.

Understand why players want to collect as much as they can when they can? You should now.
