WR1: Marquise Goodwin
When the 49ers first signed Marquise Goodwin, two words immediately came to mind — “deep” and “threat.” That is all Goodwin was at Buffalo, and to be frank, I did not have the highest expectations for him coming in.
San Francisco 49ers
However, everything he has done ever since he touched down in San Francisco has proved me wrong.
Goodwin proved that he is not just a deep threat. His route-running abilities is especially crisp, and he possesses (mostly) reliable hands that, combined with his elite-speed, can toast any cornerback in the league. Add on his great rapport with quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo, and you have the formula for a true No. 1 receiver.
Goodwin is also arguably the best person in the league. He has battled through multiple terrible tragedies and continues to fight through them. He has done a lot of work in the local community and always strives to make people’s days better.
I don’t care what team you are a fan of, your political views or anything. If you don’t like Goodwin, you’re crazy.
