Game info and how to watch

The San Francisco 49ers and the Los Angeles Chargers kick off the final game of the preseason today, Aug. 30, 2018, at 10:00 p.m. ET, at Levi’s Stadium, in Santa Clara, CA.

If you’re in the Bay Area, the game will be broadcast live on your local CBS affiliate, KPIX 5, or online via the free live stream at 49ers.com. The Niners’ fourth and final matchup of the 2018 NFL Preseason will not be televised nationally, but a replay of the game will be broadcast on NFL Network on Friday night, beginning at 12 a.m. ET.

If you’re in a local market, or if you want to watch the game Friday night on NFL Network, you can stream the game on your phone, computer or media streaming device with fuboTV’s subscription service, which includes a seven-day trial membership.

For those who live outside of the Bay Area or the Los Angeles market and want to watch the game live, NFL Game Pass provides a live stream of the game via their subscription service. NFL Game Pass also offers a seven-day trial membership.

Historically, the 49ers and Chargers have been common preseason opponents due to their geographic proximity, and particularly in the final preseason game. 2018 marks the fourth consecutive season the pair will face off in Week 4 of the NFL Preseason.

Last year, the 49ers came away with a 23-13 victory over the Chargers to close out the preseason. The game was highlighted by a pair of big plays — a 92-yard punt return touchdown by Bolden and a 62-yard touchdown scamper by Beathard:

The San Francisco 49ers are currently favored over the Los Angeles Chargers in today’s Preseason Week 4 matchup by 3.5 points.
