It seems crazy given he’s a starter right now, but Mitchell played only 11 snaps on defense against the Colts.
Remember, this was the game the starters were supposed to play the most in.
As a comparison, no other starter on the defensive line played less than 22 snaps, or double in other words.
As another comparison, only the recently signed Chris Jones played less snaps among defensive linemen (and he played 10 snaps).
So in other words, Mitchell played the second fewest snaps for all defensive linemen. In the dress rehearsal game.
His spot on the roster got a whole lot more questionable.
