Stock down: Chanceller James

This will be a short and obvious one.

The 49ers waived Chanceller James, and sadly for James, his quest for a roster spot is over. At least for now. There’s always the possibility the Niners bring the second-year defensive back aboard again.

James had a chance to compete for a backup safety spot but only had six snaps against the Indianapolis Colts, all on special teams.

It’s the ultimate stock down for James, and hopefully he finds himself on another team.
