The San Francisco 49ers are getting closer to Week 1 of the 2018 regular season, and Niner Noise gets creative with some “crazy” trade ideas the team could make between now and then.

OK, so perhaps the word “crazy” wouldn’t be how I’d describe any of the possible San Francisco 49ers trades I’ve listed here. But these suggested ideas would definitely be the kind of moves to make eyebrows raise and “wow” words to be spoken.

Before I go any further, I do want to say these are totally speculative pre-Week 1 trades. if you’re looking at the realistic kind (time is running out on those possible moves), just click here.

Or if you want to learn more about an actual Niners trade from the 2018 preseason, just look at how general manager John Lynch moved SAM linebacker Eli Harold to the Detroit Lions.

Instead of those moves, these following three trades explore more of the “would you do it?” side of things from San Francisco’s vantage point. Sure, let’s take into account some reality here. The 49ers aren’t going to move, let’s say, wide receiver Victor Bolden to the New England Patriots in exchange for three 2018 NFL Draft picks.

C’mon. We’re not getting that far-fetched or out of touch with reality.

Or maybe not? Bolden is looking pretty sharp this preseason, according to Pro Football Focus.

Preseason narratives aside, let’s play Niners fake GM for a few minutes and come up with some would-be crazy moves the team could make before the regular season kicks off on Sept. 9.

And again, these are totally speculative moves. Not suggestions nor rumors.

Unless otherwise suggested, of course.
