2019 NFL Draft: 5 pass-rushing options for the San Francisco 49ers

Since we’re working with EDGE prospects likely to go in the top five on draft day, the 49ers could also going all in on Ohio State’s Nick Bosa — younger brother of Los Angeles Chargers elite pass-rusher, Joey Bosa.

There’s talk Nick Bosa could easily go No. 1 overall in the 2019 NFL Draft. If that’s the case, the Niners unlikely wind up getting this selection.
But it could be a blessing if Bosa’s draft stock falls between now and the end of the 2018 NCAA season, which could afford the Niners the opportunity to trade up if deemed desirable. Remember, a quality pass-rusher is the next most important position outside a quarterback on the football field.
At 6-foot-4 and 270 pounds, Bosa is slightly smaller than his older brother but is on the same trajectory.
Here’s what one scout told NFL.com’s Daniel Jeremiah and Bucky Brooks late last year:
"Bosa’s little brother is a stud. He’s the same player in a smaller package. He has the exact same swipe move and he plays with the same effort. The (OSU) coaches told me he’s further along than his brother at this point in his career."
Scary.
If that’s the expectation level, it makes sense why Bosa could be considered the consensus No. 1 overall pick in 2019.
But if he falls a bit…
