No. 6: Who will Jimmy Garoppolo target?

One of the most telling things about preseason is who the starting quarterback throws to when he’s on the field.

We know that Garoppolo enjoys one of the best rapports in the league with Marquise Goodwin, but he has a lot more to throw to this season compared to his few games last year.

So who did Garoppolo throw to last week? Walter Football has us covered:

"Here were Garoppolo’s targets: Marquise Goodwin: 3 Richie James: 1 George Kittle: 1 Jerick McKinnon: 1"

Unsurprisingly Garoppolo threw to Goodwin for 50 percent of his throws, while splitting his throws elsewhere.

We should see more throws from Garoppolo against the Texans, so it’ll be more telling where he puts his throws.
