The San Francisco 49ers kick off their second preseason game against the Houston Texans after two practices together with them. Here we look at the 10 things to look out for.

One team from Texas down, one to go.

For the San Francisco 49ers, of course, it isn’t about getting the W over the Dallas Cowboys in Week 1 of the preseason. Although that being said, you wouldn’t say no to it either.

But there are some things to look out for, and hopefully some more of the questions concerning the team can find answers.

So what is there to look for when the Niners square off against the Houston Texans this Saturday in preseason Week 2?

Let’s take a look.

No. 10: What role will Alfred Morris play?

With a calf strain to Jerick McKinnon in camp and a separated shoulder to Matt Breida in the 49ers first preseason game against Dallas, the 49ers are going to look very different at running back for Week 2 of preseason.

So this should give the newest Niner an interesting opportunity.

Alfred Morris played well as a spot starter and backup with the Cowboys last season, and with his familiarity with the offense of Kyle Shanahan should see him able to contribute. Morris thrived under Shanahan when both were with the Washington Redskins between 2012 and 2013.

If Morris shows he has something left in the tank, he could easily be the new favorite to be the third running back on the 49ers roster in the regular season.
