With a preseason game under their belts, some of the San Francisco 49ers’ 2018 rookies are starting to stand out. Here Niner Noise ranks the draftees on their impact so far.

One of the most important factors in the rise of the San Francisco 49ers in the previous year was how promising and productive the first draft class of the John Lynch/Kyle Shanahan era was.

Well you know what? This year has the potential to be even better.

But who has been the most impressive? Let’s find out.

Keep in mind, this doesn’t equate to depth charts or anything like that. So right tackle Mike McGlinchley is not going to be the top rookie, even though he’s the one most assured of a starting spot. Also, due to the numerous undrafted rookies, only draftees are included (hence the title), so the talented cornerback, Tarvarus McFadden, won’t be included either.

He would be somewhere halfway on this list if he were, though.
