No. 4: Richard Sherman Moving Well So Far

While he may never play at the All-Pro level that made him famous earlier this decade, veteran cornerback Richard Sherman has had his share of solid moments, largely putting this Achilles-injury concerns in the rear-view mirror.

Aaron Tan pointed out how Sherman, who was cleared just ahead of camp, was moving well in individual drills and didn’t show any signs of setback:

Sherman was beat deep during a one-on-one drill against Marquise Goodwin on day four, though:

But Goodwin is fast. Like, Olympian fast. And it’s possible Sherman isn’t going to go at 100-percent speed during these kinds of drills. Especially when it’s still early in camp, and there’s a lot of time remaining between now and Week 1.

Sherman is still poised to assume the No. 1 cornerback role this season, where he’s been lining up during unit-versus-unit drills.

And even if he’s not quite the same player he was a few years ago, Sherman is still the best corner on San Francisco’s roster.
