Every year teams have to make cuts in order to narrow the roster size down to 53 players. Niner Noise looks at five San Francisco 49ers players who will need to have strong training camps to make that 53.
Last year, rookies and players on the San Francisco 49ers‘ roster bubble didn’t really have to worry about being cut.
The roster was being completely overhauled and rebuilt from the ground up by head coach Kyle Shanahan and general manager John Lynch, so players with considerably less talent were making the team.
However this year, fortunately, this team is very solid and well-rounded which, unfortunately, means that a lot of players are going to have to be let go.
These players on the roster bubble are very aware of this fact and know that they will have to put up a strong training camp and preseason to impress the coaches in order to be on an NFL roster this upcoming season.
Here are five players who will have to have a strong showing at training camp in order to have any chance at making the team’s roster in 2018.
