Tight ends on the 49ers Roster

San Francisco didn’t really look into new faces for the position for training camp. The team didn’t draft a tight end, and the only new face the team has is the undrafted Ross Dwelley from the University of San Diego.

More from SF 49ers News

The current pecking order will obviously be Kittle and Celek as two of the three tight ends active on the roster. We’ll be technical and add Kyle Nelson as the third, who has tight end listed as his position alongside long-snapper on the team’s roster page.

Cole Hikutini and Cole Wick finish the tight ends for the 49ers. Hikutini is probably the closest thing to an actual third tight end for the team, although he hasn’t had much playing time, while Wick is a practice squad body.

To sum up:

  • Garrett Celek
  • Ross Dwelley*
  • Cole Hikutini
  • George Kittle
  • Kyle Nelson
  • Cole Wick
