No. 4: Wide Receiver Marquise Goodwin

2018 ADP: 8.08

2018 marks the first time wide receiver Marquise Goodwin cracks Fantasy Football Calculator‘s ADP rankings.

It’s not hard to see why he wasn’t listed beforehand, as Goodwin was nary a fantasy football option. But that changed last year after the speedy 49ers wideout nearly crested 1,000 receiving yards in a career-best season.

His ADP now at 8.08, Goodwin is a solid option for a WR2 or flex player in points-per-reception (PPR) leagues.

A main reason why is Jimmy Garoppolo. Goodwin, while having his moments, wasn’t much of a regular factor before Garoppolo took over starting duties in Week 12 last year. In fact, Goodwin had just one game in 2017 (Week 5) where he reached five receptions.

After Garoppolo started, Goodwin averaged 5.8 receptions per contest and 76.8 receiving yards per game during that stretch.

Those are solid fantasy results in any PPR-scoring format. And while you’ll want to hone in on a true WR1 early during your draft, Goodwin is an excellent option to round out your roster.
