Round 8: RB Duke Johnson, Cleveland Browns

In the eighth round, we draft everyone’s favorite PPR running back, Duke Johnson, of the Cleveland Browns. Although he’s an afterthought in standard drafts, Johnson was a RB1 in PPR formats last season — which is a steal this late in the draft.

Of course, Johnson won’t be alone in the Cleveland backfield, as the Browns signed former 49ers running back Carlos Hyde, and then drafted RB Nick Chubb in the second round of the 2018 NFL Draft. But the Browns should have a more potent offense this season, and they recently demonstrated their commitment to Johnson, signing the change-of-pace runner to a three-year extension.

We rarely draft a back like Johnson to be an every-week starter, but we know we can always count on him for double-digit PPR points in a pinch.
