With a new season comes positional battles, and here we look at the four most intriguing battles for the San Francisco 49ers during OTAs later this month.

Every year across the NFL, rookies and undrafted free agents take to the field to try to upset the incumbent starters.

Some have no chance, of course. It’s not as if someone is going to unseat quarterbacks Tom Brady or Aaron Rodgers as the top dog of the offense.

But every season, we see some fight and scrap to find their way on the team.

Just ask running back Matt Breida and wide receiver Kendrick Bourne, two undrafted players who ended up getting significant time in the San Francisco 49ers offense last season.

While the 49ers are a better team than last year, there’s still plenty of opportunities to see some exciting battles in organized team activities (OTAs), which kick off later this month.

Let’s take a look at the four best ones to watch.
