The worst of the worst. Here we rank the 15 worst NFL Draft picks in San Francisco 49ers history and hope we don’t have to add to this list anytime soon.

I won’t lie.

I got angry writing this. Really, really angry.

I’m passionate about my sports, maybe too much so. So an NFL Draft bust is something that makes me angry, unless it’s due to something like an injury, in which case I just get sad.

The San Francisco 49ers are not immune to such players, and I have 15 here for you.

So just some criteria, mostly tiebreakers:

  • Drafting earlier on was a lot sketchier than drafting today, it’s not the precise art that it is today. As a result these ranking are weighted where later picks get more scrutiny than earlier years.
  • These are all first-, second- and third-round picks.
  • Bad play and bad attitude, to me, are much worse than bad injuries or positional changes.
  • Obviously, an early first-round pick is a bigger bust than a later one, if such a tiebreaker is needed.
