DEANDRE SMELTER. D-. . Wide Receiver. Georgia Tech

Ah, it wouldn’t have been a Trent Baalke NFL Draft without an addition to his “All-ACL” team.

Georgia Tech wide receiver DeAndre Smelter was the first inductee to this group from the 2015 crop, although he barely scratches out from the F-grade status.

Why?

Well, Smelter was a pretty prolific receiver in the college ranks, and it wouldn’t have been a shock to see him go in Round 2 had he been able to stay healthy.

But he didn’t. And even after recovering from the ACL injury, Smelter’s San Francisco impact was limited to just one reception for 23 yards in 2016.

The Niners moved on from him the following year.
