. Running Back. South Carolina. MIKE DAVIS. F

The 49ers’ second of three picks in Round 4 of the 2015 NFL Draft warrants an F-grade, as South Carolina running back Mike Davis was essentially a non-factor his two years in San Francisco.

Davis wasn’t intended to be a regular back, rather a primary backup to then-No. 1 tailback Carlos Hyde, who was taking on a full-time role for the first time that season. Injuries to Hyde could have opened the door more to Davis, but they didn’t.

The Niners got 108 total rush yards and one touchdown over two seasons out of Davis.

Not surprisingly, he was released when the new regime took over in 2017.
