With the 2018 NFL Draft now complete, the San Francisco 49ers can turn their attention to preparing for the regular season. But what questions remain after the draft? Here are the three biggest.

The San Francisco 49ers didn’t exactly go about the 2018 NFL Draft as many would have thought.

Instead of grabbing a standout defensive back or linebacker with their first pick, general manager John Lynch and Co. elected to go with Notre Dame offensive tackle Mike McGlinchey. The move made more sense the next day, as the Niners moved right tackle Trent Brown to the New England Patriots.

That solved one question — scheme fit and longevity along the offensive line. But it also led to arguably the team’s biggest question mark heading into the rest of the offseason.

San Francisco’s pass rush, or lack thereof, is a big question mark. And there are still a few more remaining as the Niners prepare for minicamps and training camp.

The 49ers didn’t bring in a big-bodied red-zone threat, outside of undrafted tight end Ross Dwelley and wide receiver Steven Dunbar — also an undrafted free agent. Nor did they bring aboard a guard to upgrade that position.

We’ll see if these question marks become problems this season. Meanwhile, let’s break down each situation and look at why they’ll need to be answered before Week 1.
