San Francisco 49ers: Day 3 primer for the 2018 NFL Draft

Day 3 Mock Draft for the 49ers
Late-round mocks are always fun, aren’t they?
This is about as much a SWAG (scientific wild-a** guess) as it gets. And chances are, you’ll be hearing plenty of names you never bothered looking at leading up to draft day.
But let’s give it a shot.
Round 4, No. 128 Overall: EDGE Josh Sweat, FSU
Ogbonnia Okoronkwo probably won’t fall much in Round 4, meaning the Niners have to settle with an almost-as-good-as pass-rusher in Florida State’s Josh Sweat.
Sweat has some injury woes, and his pass-rush moves aren’t varied. At this point, though, San Francisco should still be interested in his limited skill set.
Round 5, No. 142 Overall: CB Levi Wallace, Alabama
Cornerback Levi Wallace is pretty lanky and has some playmaking skills.
San Francisco needs corner depth, and Wallace would be a safe selection here.
Round 6, No. 184 Overall: WR Equanimeous St. Brown, Notre Dame
At 6-foot-5 and 214 pounds, Notre Dame wideout Equanimeous St. Brown is an enticing project.

The big-bodied stature is something that could bode well for the 49ers, who finished 27th in red-zone touchdown efficiency last year. St. Brown is raw, but he could be worth the development.
Round 7, No. 227 Overall: RB Akrum Wadley, Iowa
San Francisco trusted some Iowa offensive players last year (George Kittle and quarterback C.J. Beathard). And while adding a running back isn’t a pressing need, Akrum Wadley could help round out the depth chart.
Wadley is elusive, but his smallish 5-foot-10 and 194-pound frame could turn off teams, causing him to fall in to Round 7.
Round 7, No. 240 Overall: CB Kevin Toliver, LSU
At 6-foot-2 and 192 pounds, LSU’s Kevin Toliver looks the part to be a 49ers-type cornerback.
Like most prospects taken in Round 7, Toliver is raw. But his physical makeup is enough to convince teams he’s worth the draft-and-develop risk. Toliver isn’t a ballhawk, posting just two picks over his three college seasons, but he has the intangibles worth taking a risk on to close out the draft.
