The San Francisco 49ers wrapped up the second day of the NFL Draft, making two trades and picking up three prospects between Rounds 2 and 3. What’s on tap for the Niners on day three?

Day two of the 2018 NFL Draft is in the books, and it was surely an eventful day for the San Francisco 49ers, who did more than just bring aboard draft picks in Rounds 2 and 3.

The Niners’ first-round selection of Notre Dame offensive tackle Mike McGlinchey made more sense Friday morning, as general manager John Lynch traded off fellow tackle Trent Brown and pick No. 74 in the draft to the New England Patriots in exchange for the 95th overall selection.

Not long afterwards, San Francisco inked safety Jaquiski Tartt to a two-year extension.

These moves helped clarify some of Lynch’s actions in Round 1, and preceded the plans for day two.

In case you missed it, here’s the 49ers’ draft haul from Rounds 2 and 3:

  • No. 44 overall: Wide receiver Dante Pettis, Washington
  • No. 70 overall: Linebacker Fred Warner, BYU
  • No. 95 overall: Defensive back Tarvarius Moore, Southern Mississippi

Lynch moved up to grab Pettis — arguably the best route-runner in this year’s class — and helped answer linebacker depth questions behind Reuben Foster, adding Warner. The Niners’ final pick of day two saw the speedy Moore to San Francisco.

So what’s on tap for the third and final day of the NFL Draft?

In this slideshow, let’s take a look at the 49ers’ remaining needs and possibilities.
