2018 NFL Draft: Pick Nos. 6-10

Three quarterbacks have gone in the top five, which isn’t much of a surprise. The only hitch, if any, was seeing the Giants select a running back at No. 2 overall.

This pushes another top QB down the board, which makes things interesting.

player. 46. The Colts need some help up front to protect quarterbacks Jacoby Brissett or Andrew Luck, depending on who plays this year. Notre Dame guard Quenton Nelson is easily the best lineman in this NFL Draft class.. Offensive Guard. Notre Dame. Quenton Nelson. 6

The Buccaneers could use some help in the secondary, so why not go out and grab arguably the best cover corner in this year’s draft, Ohio State’s Denzel Ward? In doing so, Tampa Bay hopes to grab this year’s equivalent of the Saints’ Marshon Lattimore — also from Ohio State.. Cornerback. Ohio State. Denzel Ward. 7. player. 48

57. The Bears are pretty much set at outside cornerback and have a good tandem of safeties, although Florida State’s Dewin James can be plugged in at nickel back on day one.. Defensive Back. Florida State. Derwin James. 8. player

Boston College. Harold Landry. 9. player. 42. The 49ers registered just 30 sacks last year and have no true pass-rusher on the outside. When healthy, Boston College EDGE Harold Landry can bend like no other, as his 16.5 sacks from 2016 suggest.. EDGE

28. The Raiders have a good deal of defensive needs, especially within the front seven. Grabbing a playmaking linebacker like Georgia’s Roquan Smith makes plenty of sense for general manager Reggie McKenzie.. Inside Linebacker. Georgia. Roquan Smith. 10. player
