With the 2018 NFL schedule officially released, Niner Noise looks at the San Francisco 49ers’ upcoming games this season and lays out first-take predictions.

Well, us San Francisco 49ers fans can finally start planning our Sundays (and some Mondays and Thursdays) this upcoming fall.

The 2018 NFL regular-season schedule was released Thursday, and the Niners are going to be no strangers to prime-time games this season.

Pretty cool for a team coming off a 6-10 record a year ago and 2-14 the year prior.

There are a couple reasons why San Francisco is such a hot commodity right now. Finishing a perfect 5-0 in 2017 didn’t hurt. And neither did landing quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo, whose hype has driven up the attention on the franchise exponentially.

Bringing aboard All-Pro cornerback Richard Sherman in free agency also boosted the 49ers’ stock. And while linebacker Reuben Foster’s off-field situation casts a cloud over the organization, the general feeling around Santa Clara is pretty good.

Is it 16-0 good?

We love you, Rob Lowder.

First-take predictions are always going to be inaccurate. There are so many factors playing into what happens this upcoming season. The NFL Draft, starting on April 26, carries weight. So will training camp, the preseason and all those injuries teams hope to avoid between now and Week 1.

Who cares about all that right now, though. Let’s dive into what we think happens for the 49ers over 16 regular-season games this season based off what we know right now.

Kicking things off against the Minnesota Vikings in Week 1.
