No. 1: Buffalo Bills

First NFL Draft Pick — 12th (via Bengals)

While not as decisive as the Jets’ move-up from No. 6 to No. 3, the Bills made their quarterback intentions clear by grabbing the No. 12 overall pick in an exchange with the Cincinnati Bengals.

That, and moving Tyrod Taylor.

Sure, the Bills inked former Bengals quarterback A.J. McCarron. But he’s about as unknown a commodity there is in the NFL right now. And it would be hard to predict him having a breakout campaign worthy of Buffalo passing on a QB at No. 12.

No, general manager Sean McDermott and Co. will be looking quarterback first in the NFL Draft.

The only issue, though, is there will likely be slim pickings from the first tier of prospective quarterbacks. Sam Darnold and Josh Rosen will certainly be gone. So will Baker Mayfield. Josh Allen could still be available, provided his accuracy questions deter some QB-hungry teams. But even that seems unlikely.

Considering the Bills already moved up in the draft, it wouldn’t be a shock to see another trade take place between now and when their number is first called on April 26.
