2018 NFL Draft: Two-round mock for all 32 teams across the league
By Peter Panacy
The Arizona Cardinals ideally would have liked a quarterback like Lamar Jackson to fall all the way to No. 15. But that didn’t happen, and there’s not a tremendous amount of value here for the next crop of college quarterbacks.
Barring a trade up or down, the Cardinals are going to stay with the notion oft-injured veteran QB, Sam Bradford, can hold up to the rigors for an entire season in 2018.
If that’s the case, protecting him will be priority No. 1. Arizona’s offensive line was pretty bad last year, banged up and finishing the season as Football Outsiders‘ No. 25-ranked unit in pass protection.
Behind fellow Notre Dame teammate, offensive tackle Mike McGlinchey is arguably the second best O-line prospect in this year’s NFL Draft. He’s tough, durable and a team leader.
That’s exactly what the Cardinals need, as they begin the opening phases of what looks to be a very long rebuild.
