Baltimore Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco finished 2017 with the NFL’s eighth worst passer rating among qualifiers (80.4). Not all of that is his fault, though, as Flacco’s receiving targets were sub par at best.

The Ravens addressed this a bit by adding free-agent wide receiver Michael Crabtree, but they could stand to make yet another addition. Preferably one of the cheaper, younger variety.

What’s needed here is a big-time playmaker, and Alabama’s Calvin Ridley is easily the top playmaking wideout in this year’s draft. His heroics in the 2018 College Football Playoffs National Championship game speak for themselves, and subsequent efforts at the NFL Scouting Combine only served to boost his stock.

With Ridley aboard, perhaps the Ravens offense gets back to some level of respectability.
