The San Francisco 49ers weren’t quite as active in free agency as some might have expected, putting more pressure on them to land some talent in the 2018 NFL Draft. Here’s a quick-take seven-round mock draft based on what the Niners did in free agency.

For those fans worried the San Francisco 49ers weren’t active enough in free agency this year, fear not.

A year ago, general manager John Lynch went on a spending spree. He had to, as the team ended up turning over more than 70 percent of its roster prior to the beginning of the regular season. That’s what last year’s theme was about. 2018 free agency was more about fine-tuning it.

There were some notable acquisitions, of course. Cornerback Richard Sherman is now wearing red and gold. Head coach Kyle Shanahan found his prototype running back in Jerick McKinnon, and center Weston Richburg is a natural fit for Shanahan’s zone-style blocking scheme.

More moves could come, but our attention now focuses to additional moves in the 2018 NFL Draft, scheduled to start on Apr. 26.

In our latest mock, Niner Noise takes a look at what Lynch and Co. might do with their nine picks in the upcoming draft. These will be based off revisited team needs after the opening waves of free agency.

So let’s kick things off with the No. 9 overall pick in the draft.

San Francisco’s officially on the clock.
