No. 7: LB Tremaine Edmunds (Virginia Tech)

Tremaine Edmunds is one of the best overall athletes heading into the 2018 NFL Draft. The Virginia Tech linebacker combines his sheer size with elite-level speed and agility, which was evident during this year’s combine.

Edmunds posted a 4.54 40-yard-dash time and proved his raw talents in the various drills. Listed at 6-foot-5 and 253-pounds, Edmunds showcased his quick feet, excellent change of direction and ability to bend.

At only 19 years old, Edmunds has a lot of room for growth and thus, his potential in the NFL is scary. Already gifted with an ideal body frame and freakish athleticism, Edmunds should only improve both physically and skill-wise in the pros.

A plethora of mock drafts placed Edmunds within the top 10 of the draft board. His high impact and productivity in college, alongside his exceptional performance at the combine, should keep him at least within the first round.

Especially with Edmunds’ versatility as a linebacker, many NFL teams will be on the lookout when this highly athletic prospect is still available on the board come Apr. 26.
