The 2018 NFL Scouting Combine has officially ended and plenty of draft prospects undoubtedly shone. Niner Noise ranks the top 10 overall performers of this year’s combine in Indianapolis, from day one to day four.

The NFL Scouting Combine is an important annual event for teams around the league to evaluate NFL Draft prospects. Coaches, scouts and front offices assess players’ measurables and intangibles to help determine who would best suit their team.

The combine also helps validate what players have shown on the field during their time in college. Although, as written in history, not every college talent translates smoothly to the pros.

For four days, over 300 draft prospects participated in this year’s scouting combine. And throughout the event, several players made the headlines with their standout performances.

Day one saw a few outstanding offensive linemen, who showcased their strength and technique in the trenches. Many teams looked for other ingredients such as footwork and physicality, which some players successfully displayed.

This year’s abundance of talented running backs did not shy away from the spotlight. Plenty of running back prospects stood out with their 40-yard dash times, as well as their drills.

Speed was also one of the major attributes scouts looked for from day two’s receivers. Many of the top perimeter wideouts, and a few tight ends, also intrigued evaluators with their pass-catching abilities.

In terms of the quarterbacks, several prospects provided the “wow” factor with their impressive arm strength and accuracy.

The second half of the combine featured the defensive side of the ball. Some defensive linemen stood out with their bench press, vertical and 40-yard dash numbers and field workouts.

The defensive backs perfectly finished off the entire combine showcasing their unbelievable speed and athleticism in day four.

Among all participants in the 2018 NFL Scouting Combine, here are the top 10 performers.
