The 2018 NFL Scouting Combine has wrapped up its events and activities for yet another successful year. Now that the combine is over, general manager John Lynch of the San Francisco 49ers is now in the business of evaluating talent.

For the San Francisco 49ers, the NFL Scouting Combine evaluation process includes: film study, combine measurables, scouts reviews, on-field workout reviews and the critical team interview that can make or break an athlete’s position with the team.

And for the linebacker position, general manager John Lynch and Co. will certainly need to take their time with evaluation, as the talent level this year is just above average. Lynch has to find the right guy.

With free agency a few days away, and the NFL Draft to follow, the 49ers are in real need of a linebacker with the possibility of taking two this year.

Let’s take a look at the prospective linebacker position post-combine.
