Football Outsiders ranked the Cincinnati Bengals offensive line 20th in pass protection last year and 24th in run support.
Neither is particularly good, and the Bengals would be wise to follow the Dolphins’ approach by rebuilding this offense from the ground up.
While not as imposing a prospect out of Notre Dame as Quenton Nelson, offensive tackle Mike McGlinchey offers a similar skill set capable of anchoring the right side over the next few years. And with some development, he’d be a shoo-in to lock down the blind side for the next decade or so.
