The San Francisco 49ers are in a prime position to set themselves up for success. One more successful NFL Draft class by general manager John Lynch could put the Niners in a well-off position for years to come. But here, we look at the players that could put that position in jeopardy.

It’s amazing what one change can do for a NFL team.

Prior to the Jimmy Garoppolo trade, that has now been toasted by San Francisco 49ers fans and analysts all over, the Niners were right at the bottom of the NFC ladder headed by abysmal performances from former starter Brian Hoyer and rookie C.J. Beathard.

Even the initial reaction to the trade was enthusiastic but muted, with warnings Garoppolo would probably sit out the season, which made sense given head coach Kyle Shanahan’s extensive offense scheme that Garoppolo needed to learn.

But then Beathard needed to sit out the end of the Seattle Seahawks game in Week 11, and the rest is history.

The 49ers had an amazing first draft class under general manager John Lynch and Shanahan. And while it’s unrealistic to expect the second to be quite as productive, it is exciting to consider how much a good second class coupled with a good bunch of free agency signings can set up the 49ers.

However some players might have to be avoided, in no particular order here are those five.
