2018 NFL Scouting Combine: 10 players who should be on 49ers’ radar
By Peter Panacy
The 2018 NFL Scouting Combine kicks off on Tuesday, Feb. 27, and these 10 prospects should be on the San Francisco 49ers radar as they prepare for the NFL Draft in April.
It’s officially NFL Draft season, and prying eyes from all 32 teams across the league will shift focus to the 2018 NFL Scouting Combine at Lucas Oil Field in Indianapolis, Indiana.
For the San Francisco 49ers, general manager John Lynch and his scouting department will have their hands full preparing for what to do with the No. 9/10 overall pick in April’s draft, followed by each of the subsequent picks the Niners boast.
Lynch has no shortage of needs either. The team could stand to use a starting cornerback, pass-rushing help, possibly a linebacker and a big-bodied wide receiver. Offensive line and running back are also noteworthy needs.
Regardless, the list of talent participating at the combine is pretty noteworthy this year. And you can check the list of invitees here.
The Niners will be keeping tabs on nearly everyone, of course, but these 10 particular prospects should garner extra special interest.
Let’s dive into the list.
