No. 4: Tight End Logan Paulsen

Logan Paulsen was brought in last year’s free agency period purely for depth. He was a great blocker, who had appeared before in the Kyle Shanahan system, and the front office mainly wanted to find guys who had experience in the new coach’s scheme.

And then the front office drafted George Kittle, a young and well-rounded tight end who could block, run great routes and catch the ball.

And then Garrett Celek, the No. 2 tight end broke out near the end of the season, creating a new phenomenon based off his name called “Celek Time.”

Where was Paulsen during that time? Earning a 50.3 Pro Football Focus grade (which ranks as poor in their system) and dropping passes.

Yeah, I think it’s pretty safe to say that Paulsen won’t be on the team anymore.
