San Francisco 49ers: 7 players in line for contract extensions in 2018

The San Francisco 49ers still have a large war chest after the long term signing of quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo. Here we look at some 49er players who could see contract extensions in 2018.

Slowly but surely, the plans are coming into place for the San Francisco 49ers next season as contract extensions filter through. Quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo got paid on a deal that failed the eye test for some, but Niner Noise believes will turn into an absolutely genius deal on both ends.

In addition, center Daniel Kilgore received a three-year contract extension himself.

While it was a surprise to see him extended so soon (I’ve been an advocate on upgrading the interior line). it’s also undisputed Kilgore performed much better late in the year, not giving up a sack or pressure with Garoppolo taking his snaps.
