30. . . Previous: . New York Jets. 23. team

The one thing separating the Bengals from the New York Jets is how much the latter overachieved in 2017. It wasn’t uncommon to see analysts predicting one, maybe two wins from New York. Five was quite the statement.

This likely saved head coach Todd Bowles’ job for 2018, but that doesn’t mean the Jets are without serious questions.

First and foremost, they’re among the teams in need of a quarterback this offseason. Josh McCown, 38 years old, is hitting free agency. His backups, Bryce Petty and Christian Hackenberg, don’t exaclty inspire a lot of confidence.

Still, New York is in an excellent position this offseason. Armed with the No. 6 overall pick in the draft, as well as nearly $73 million in available cap space, the Jets could make some serious moves to put themselves back in contention.

There are a lot of holes to fill, but New York appears to have the tools to do it.
