Niner Noise takes a look back at the “bold” predictions we made for the San Francisco 49ers heading into 2017, seeing what we got right (if anything) and where we were oh-so wrong.

San Francisco 49ers beat writer Eric Branch, working for SFGate.com, recently published a revisit to 25 of his team predictions for 2017.

Not surprisingly, he was off on quite a number. Although his prediction for rookie tight end George Kittle was Nostradamus-like. Pretty cool there.

We do plenty of our own predictions too, so it’s certainly worth going back and seeing what we got right and where we were wrong. On one hand, I was correct in my pre-2017 guess, over at 49ers Webzone, on how many wins the 49ers would get last year.

Go me!

The prediction article chosen to revisit was one written back in March, after general manager John Lynch and head coach Kyle Shanahan took over and before the team’s actions in the 2017 NFL Draft.

And these were bold predictions too. Not the kind offering up simple, easy-to-make takes.

But did we get any right? Let’s take a look.
