No. 6: It’s “Celek Time” — Garrett Celek’s Touchdown Grab

When it happened: Week 15 vs. Tennessee Titans

Quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo was onto his third start in a 49ers uniform when the Niners welcomed the Tennessee Titans to town in Week 15.

And San Francisco’s offense was clicking, with Garoppolo getting eight different receivers involved in the action.

One of those was tight end Garrett Celek, who had an impressive three-catch, 63-yard performance on the day. But his most notable grab was a five-yard touchdown score at the 5:30 mark of the second quarter:

The Niners would go up 13-3 over the Titans at that point and would eventually win the game 25-23. Celek’s reception continued to reinforce the “Celek Time” label, as he had emerged as a prominent weapon in the 49ers offense.

Oh, and one can’t help but notice the resemblance to another famous touchdown pass in that area of the end zone.
