No. 9: Robbie Gould’s Revenge Game Winner versus the Bears

When it happened: Week 13 at Chicago Bears

Veteran kicker Robbie Gould had to have a lot of emotion when he and the 49ers visited the Chicago Bears in Week 13.

After all, Gould spent 11 years performing kicking duties in Chicago, and this would mark a major homecoming against his former team.

It’s safe to say he was a big factor.

Gould provided all the offensive scoring for San Francisco, as the Niners went on to beat the Bears 15-14. And Gould’s fifth field goal of the game, with only four seconds remaining, proved to be the game winner:

Gould later directed an emotional outburst towards the Bears sideline following the kick.

Later he said, “It was pretty emotional at the end,” via ESPN. “I don’t know, there was a lot that came out. I can’t even tell you what it was or what it is.”

Either way, Gould got his revenge on the team that let him go after 2015.
