The Indianapolis Colts have a lot of needs on both sides of the ball, and one might think it wise to invest early along the offensive line.

Quarterback Andrew Luck, after all, remains a high-prized investment even if he missed all of 2017. So protecting him is vital.

But the defense is terrible as well, which makes general manager Chris Ballard’s selection of North Carolina State edge rusher Bradley Chubb a wise one.

Chubb is the most gifted pass-rusher in this class. With Indy ranking towards the very bottom of sack totals in 2017, finding someone who can put regular pressure on opponents’ quarterbacks would go a long way in turning around what has been a disappointing defense in recent years.
