Defensive Tackle. Florida State. Derrick Nnadi. 23. player. 44.

The Atlanta Falcons and veteran defensive tackle Dontari Poe could be parting ways this offseason, which would leave a pretty sizable void along the interior of the defense.

Atlanta has invested pretty heavily in their defensive front in recent seasons, but what’s needed is a piece that could bring those acquisitions together.

Enter Florida State’s Derrick Nnandi.

Nandi, a three-year starter for the Seminoles, is the epitome of a short, stubby defensive tackle. At 6-foot-1 and 312 pounds, it’s odd to think he has some nice pass-rushing moves from the interior. But he does.

He won’t be able to carry the Falcons defensive line. But with Vic Beasley and Takkarist McKinley assuming those duties, Nnadi would be a solid option here.
