Significant injuries

In a season ravaged by injuries, the 49ers end it on an upbeat note. Per The Athletic’s David Lombardi, it looks like it should be all hands on deck.

It is welcome change for the organization, who have placed a staggering 18 players on the injured reserve list. To name a few of those players, some being key contributors, who will be back in 2018:

  • Wide receiver Pierre Garçon (neck)
  • Linebacker Malcolm Smith (pectoral)
  • Defensive lineman Arik Armstead (hand)
  • Offensive linemen Trent Brown (shoulder) and Joshua Garnett (knee)
  • Safeties Jimmie Ward (arm) and Jaquiski Tartt (arm)
