So much for running back Ezekiel Elliott’s long-awaited return from suspension.

Elliott and the Dallas Cowboys now find themselves eliminated from playoff contention after falling 21-12 at the hands of the visiting Seattle Seahawks.

Elliott managed to rush for 97 yards on 24 carries, but his efforts weren’t enough to overcome two costly interceptions off the hand of quarterback Dak Prescott, who finished the game with a 51.3 passer rating.

Dallas’ defense managed to hold Seattle to just 136 all-purpose yards, but those turnovers were brutal.

Considering the expectations the Cowboys had entering this season, it’s a bit of a shock to see them stumble down the stretch and even finish this low in NFL power rankings upon their elimination.
