With their Week 16 victory over the Jacksonville Jaguars, the San Francisco 49ers extended their winning streak to four games. Let’s look at the good, bad and ugly from the matchup.

Believe it or not, the San Francisco 49ers are one of the hottest teams in the NFL. And it all has to do with quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo, who is the mastermind behind the recent string of victories.

The 10-4 Jacksonville Jaguars, leaders of the AFC South, walked into Levi’s Stadium and departed with a 44-33 loss. San Francisco, in last place in the NFC West, improved to 5-10 on the season and have now won four in a row.

Again, it was Garoppolo who led the way for the 49ers. Garoppolo finished 21-30 for 242 yards with three total touchdowns (two passing) and one interception. The rush defense played up to the challenge, bottling up running back Leonard Fournette.

The win did not come easy, as Jacksonville nearly came back at the end of the game after a successful onside kick that followed a two-point conversion to make it 37-27.

But San Francisco was able to regain its composure and hold on for the victory. That is one of the many positives from this contest. Here is our weekly good, bad and ugly recap.
